-Introduction-
This is software used to edit Super Robot Wars Alpha PSX memory card save files.
It works with memory card files for the Playstation editor ePSXe (*.mcr),
and also opens Connectix Virtual Game Station memory card files (*.mem),
though there is no guarantee those will work as well.

It works with the save data files created at the game's intermission screen
when saving there. For editing system data, it only completes the character
dictionary, robot dictionary, and demo select.

The author of this program bears no responsibility for any damages resulting
from the use of it. The author also reserves the right to not offer support for
problems. Use the program entirely at your own risk. Since I think there are
still numerous bugs, do not redistribute the program.

-Warning-
Be certain to back up your save data files before using this program.

It's possible to upgrade your units and weapons by up to 15 slots, but if you
go over 10, then it allows you to ignore the limitations on the intermission
unit/weapon upgrade screens. Whether they work properly after that is uncertain.

If you equip more of a certain part on units than you have in your overall parts
inventory, it's uncertain whether you'll get proper results.

It's possible to make changes and deletions to unit and pilot entries, but this
can lead to points where you cannot progress further in the game, so use caution
when doing this.

When adding units and pilots, refer to the example below.

Example 1: Normal Units
Add the following unit and pilot, then assign the added pilot to the added unit.
Unit added: Judecca[Black]
Pilot added: Euzeth Gozzo
1: Click on the first "Nothing" entry in your pilot list.
2: Select "Euzeth Gozzo" from the drop-down menu.
3: Click on the first "Nothing" entry in your unit list.
4: Select "Judecca[Black]" from the drop-down menu.
5: Click on the "Pilot" button at the bottom of the unit screen.
6: Select "Euzeth Gozzo" from the top of the drop-down menu displayed.

Example 2: Transformable Units
Add the following unit and pilot, then assign the added pilot to the added unit.
Unit added: Psyco Gundam Mk-II
Pilot added: Rosamia Badam
1: Click on the first "Nothing" entry in your pilot list.
2: Select "Rosamia Badam" from the drop-down menu.
3: Click on the first "Nothing" entry in your unit list.
4: Select "Psyco Gundam Mk-II" from the drop-down menu.
5: Click on the "Pilot" button at the bottom of the unit screen.
6: Select "Rosamia Badam" from the top of the drop-down menu displayed.
7: Click on the "Nothing" entry right below the Psyco Gundam Mk-II.
8: Select "Psyco Gundam Mk-II(MA)" from the drop-down menu.
9: Click on the "Present&Parent" button at the bottom of the unit screen.
10: Select "Psyco Gundam Mk-II" from the top of the drop-down menu displayed.
11: Click on the "Pilot" button at the bottom of the unit screen.
12: Select "Rosamia Badam" from the top of the drop-down menu displayed.

Example 3: Sub-Pilots
Add the following pilot, and make them Bright Noa's sub-pilot.
Added pilot: Sayla Mass
1: Click on the first "Nothing" entry in your pilot list.
2: Select "Sayla Mass" from the drop-down menu.
3: Click on the "Main/Sub&Parent" button at the bottom of the pilot screen.
4: Select "Sub Pilot" from the upper drop-down list.
5: Select "Bright Noa" from the lower drop-down list.

*If you raise a pilot's melee or ranged stat too high, it can have strange
effects on damage they deal.

*It's possible to alter your previous and next scenarios, but whether things
work properly after that is uncertain.

Notes
2006/07/17 - Ver1.10
Added the ability to change the main hero's birthdate, by popular demand.
I hadn't thought it was all that necessary since you could choose it yourself at
the beginning of the game.
No other changes from Version 1.03.

2006/05/28 - Ver1.0
While a little late in coming, I've made an editor for Super Robot Wars Alpha.
Since it's an older game and other sites have released editors for it, there
probably isn't much demand for one, so this was made solely due to my own
personal interest.
While replaying the PSX Alpha with Kusuha on the Super route, I found myself
wanting a tool that suited my own personal tastes, so I took the plunge and
made one of my own. I'd wanted to practice with VB 2005, as well.
I used my own editor to go all the way through the game, playing through every
single scenario except for the Real-type ones by setting them in my editor.
Thanks to that, I was able to get most of the hidden units legitimately.
Now that I've finished Alpha, maybe I should make an editor for Alpha Gaiden
next...
I bet I can use most of the source code from this, since the save data's almost
exactly like Alpha's.
